It is because the steps are more difficult than Waltz and tango. Slow Foxtrot Slow foxtrot is a romantic dance. The pattern of slow foxtrot is “slow, quick-quick” or “slow, slow, quick, quick”. The dancers need to dance slow foxtrot in a smooth way. It is a challenging ballroom dance. It is original in US in 1920’s. it is similar to the Waltz. The music pattern is 4/4time. It is 120- 136 beats per minute. The first and third beat is stronger than the second and the fourth beats. There are two steps that must learn in slow foxtrot. The weave and the feather step. Weave means the dancers need to dance all step on the toes in the six quick steps. Feather step means the man need to steps outside than the woman.
